Evaluation Question Seven
As you can see i have made a lot of progress from making my perliminary task to making the final product, this is because i learnt to use the different tools. I used the text alignment and space reduction on my final product to make the writing look more profesional and i did not know who to do this while i was making the preliminary task cover, i also used the blending options with most all of the text i have used which makes the individual things i wanted to stand out stand out more and for them to have a drop shadow for more impact in the writing, as you can see i did not use any of those techniques in the origonal college magazine. In my Contents page personally i think the most affective thing i used was wrapping the text around the pictures i used in it this gave it a nice sleek finish.By using the Quick Selection tool with alot of detail it took alot of time of taking the bits of the picture i didnt want for example the background etc. when i first starting using the quick selection i was not very good with it and the picture was jagged around the edges and did not look very good but after abit of practice with using it i got better at it and used the Rubber tool after wards to make it look even more smoother and more profesional. I had to do a lot of target audience research and get feedback from them so i knew what to write about and what sort of images i should be using in my magazine, i found by looking on the Vibe magazine website it helped alot because the target auidience is very similar and obviously they have done there research in alot more detail then me because they are a multi national company.Evaluation Question six
I have used a few different websites and programs when making this product,
some that i already knew how and some that i have never used before, they ranged from; Flickr.com, Blogger.com, Photoshop.
Before starting this project i was firmiliar with photoshop but i have learnt a lot of new tools on it which helped me make my magazine and pictures look alot more profesional, the one tool that i feel made it look better was the 'Blending Options' tool because with this you can change the drop shadow's, gradiants,contrast, inner shadow's and lots of other different things that make it easy to enhance your project. The photos i took for my magazine were all very similar which i would change if i would do it again, the majourity of them are just normal medium shots i used this type of picture because i have seen it look very good in magazines similar like Vibe so i thought i would copy that idea from them. I am pleased with my main cover image because it gives quite a emotionless pose towards the target auidience which is teenage males, so i would think they can relate and easily put thereself in that posistion.
Evaluation Question five
I have made my final products attract my target audience by not only making it similar to other very successful magazines and talking as if i was a part of my target auidience so they can relate to it easier and in formal so they feel more comftable reading the magazine etc. There are alot of foundations on this cover that attract my target auidience to the magazine for example the variation of fonts make it seem alot more attractive to the reader. The ticket like badge in the top corner also makes the reader feel like the magazine is a ticket of some kind and has more worth the just the magazine. I have used a abreviated title with three letters because it makes the buyer feel as if he or she is in a club or 'gang' this is because they know what it means and they are not only buying it because they want the magazine but too show that they know what it means and that they are 'LPS'. I will now do a flickr analasis showing different selling points and techniques i have used to attract my auidience and i have been getting feed back from the direct target audience to change my designes and ideas to suit them better.Evaluation Question Four
The target auidience for my magazine are young males about age 14-21 because most the artist in this genre are exactly that, so people can look up to them for inspiration and really feel as if they were in there shoes.This genre of music stands can easily stand out to people that have had a bad up bringing and that are aspiring artists, and when they look at certin succesfull artists that gives them hope to do exactly the same because a few years ago they would have been in the exact same situation.Because of the price of the magazine i would still say the social class it is aimed as C2. The music genre's that the people would listen to is Rap and English Grime, and look similar to the person in the image below who is 'Blizzard' a english Grime rap artist who has featured on 'Sb.Tv' and various other Grime music sites. Before now pretty much all the Grime and Rap cultre's was aimed at people from a black ethnicity but now with just as succesful stars like 'Devlin', 'Pro Green' and the probably the best Rapper of the time 'Eminem' it is aimed at people from White or Black ethnicity.Due to the People that this is aimed at being the Older teenage males that would read this magazine would be sterotypically reading this in there spare time while relaxing and not reading it alot at one time, the magazine would not be released weekly but monthly.
People would buy this magazine because it would allow them to know all the newest gossip with all the artists and because there would be oppurtunitys arising in the magazine that would help the in pursuit in the carrer.
The main source of advertising in this magazine would probably be clothes for example 'Lyle and scott' , 'Nike' and 'Addidas'. Simply because they are some of the brands that the stars they are aspiring to be are wearing so they would want to be wearing the same as them because they idolise them.

Evaluation Question three
Time warner was originally two companies that joined together called, 'Warner Communications' and 'Time inc' and is now one of the largest media clongomerates in the world, owning many media companies, and with a revenue of over 26Billion dollars in 2010. Time warner is actually a American Company based in New York City, so i would like to have the opportunity to work with there english based companys 'Marketforce' or 'IPC' i think 'IPC' would be a more relevant company to work with because they have produced more urban Magazines including 'Nuts'. Time warner itself have produced one of the most succesful magazines with the same target audience as me 'Vibe' this is why i chose to research this company and would like it to produce my magazine.
Vibe is a multi national selling magazine founded by a producer called Quincy Jones with the same target auidience as me, this makes this a prime magazine for me to use a basis for my magazine. The magazine has most of its succses because it covers a broader range of R&B and Hip Hop then the competitor magazines like 'The Source' and 'XXL'.

First Double page spread analasis
In this Double page spread, They have used a Large image which is very impactful to the reader because it is straight in your face and gains the readers attention to read the article. They have used lots of sub titles so the reader can quickly glance through them and read the particular subsections of writing that they want to read. They have also kept to the three section rule which makes it look alot more clean cut and neat.They have used a comman Black to white writing to background which creates energy and brings attention to them. It has a San-Serif title and sub titles and non serif bulk writing.
